When I think of iconic 70s styling nothing screams ‘groovy’ more than a chunky woollen knit. This chunky Kanata beauty is handcrafted from a thick wool in a speckled creamy natural hue, with a traditional Cowichan brown reindeer print throughout. A tall collar, zip front and sleeveless design complete the look.
Kanata is a second generation family run business whose designs draw inspiration from the Cowichan, a Coast Salish people from Vancouver Island. They use high quality, locally sourced wool and each sweater is one of a kind. They’ve been around for 40 years so I’m unsure how old this piece is.
100% virgin wool.
Made in Canada.
Condition: Very good vintage condition with minor signs of wear, some very slight pilling throughout.
Measurements:
Armpit to armpit - 58cm flat across,
Waist (across bottom) - 52cm flat across,
Length - 64cm.
Has give due to nature of the wool.
No size tagged, I would estimate this would be suitable for around a M/L, would work on a 10/12 as a relaxed fit in AUS sizing.

Dreamer Bohemia ships orders Monday/Wednesday/Friday and aims to dispatch packages within 48 hours of order placement.
Domestic (Australian) shipping:
All domestic orders are shipped with Australia Post. The shipping options are $12.00 AUD for regular post and $17.50 AUD for express post. Bulky items (leather jackets/boots) are $17.50 AUD for regular shipping and $25 AUD for express.
Estimated timelines for deliveries are between 4-7 days for regular post, and 1-3 days for express post - all depending on location and Aust Post networks/delays.
International shipping:
All international orders are shipped via Australia Post which then transfers to the local shipping network in your delivery country. International delivery is $45 flat AUD via standard international shipping, or $75 AUD for bulky items. Please note we only ship to a limited number of international locations; if your country doesn't appear in the checkout we unfortunately are not able to ship to you at this point in time. Due to the new GPSR requirements we are currently unable to ship to the EU.
USA shipping - all relevant duties/taxes payable will be listed as a line item in the checkout and are to be paid at the time of order. Please read our full shipping policy for more details.
Please note we are not liable for any additional charges or duties that your package attracts through your country's customs process (aside from the USA). We are legally obliged to declare the total value of each purchase and provide a commercial invoice if required. Please do not ask to have the dollar value of your item reduced for customs, I insure all overseas parcels and need to declare them at their correct value for this.

We provide all garment measurements in the description, for best fit we recommend you measure against an item you already own that fits perfectly. Vintage sizing varies significantly from modern sizing, so it's always best to check against a similar garment.
