This bohemian dream dress is one of the most exquisite kaftans I’ve sourced to date. Made by India Imports in India, this was the design house that then became Adini. Crafted in a lightweight Indian cotton gauze in an earthy traditional block print, and cut in the iconic ‘Adini Sultana’ silhouette (perhaps this dress was the inspiration?) with statement angel sleeves, a deep v-neck with buttons, a flowing silhouette and ma I length; what an absolutely wondrous dress.

This is a very rare find, she is a true one of a kind Woodstock-esque dress.

100% cotton. Slips on.

Made in India.

 

Condition: Very good vintage condition with light wear consistent with age. There is slight fading, a tiny hand repair at the neckline and under the arms and the bottom back hem scoops up about 5cm, it must have been damaged and repaired at some point. It’s not really noticeable when worn due to the volumes of fabric in the skirt, plus the skirt isn’t even in length anyway. There’s a darker mark above this but I believe it’s an irregularity in the block print.

It is a higher priced dress due to its rarity, but it is not in ‘as new’ condition. If it were, it would be valued at over $1000. However for its age (60 years) it is in remarkable condition. Please ensure you have read condition thoroughly before purchase.

Armpit to armpit - 59cm flat across,

Waist - free,

Length - 140cm.

Tagged a vintage size One Size, I would estimate this would be suitable for a range of sizes from S-XL, as it has a bias cut which falls beautifully on most shapes.

Shipping

Dreamer Bohemia ships orders Monday/Wednesday/Friday and aims to dispatch packages within 48 hours of order placement. 

Domestic (Australian) shipping:

All domestic orders are shipped with Australia Post. The shipping options are $12.00 AUD for regular post and $17.50 AUD for express post. Bulky items (leather jackets/boots) are $17.50 AUD for regular shipping and $25 AUD for express.
Estimated timelines for deliveries are between 4-7 days for regular post, and 1-3 days for express post - all depending on location and Aust Post networks/delays.

 

International shipping:

All international orders are shipped via Australia Post which then transfers to the local shipping network in your delivery country. International delivery is $45 flat AUD via standard international shipping, or $75 AUD for bulky items. Please note we only ship to a limited number of international locations; if your country doesn't appear in the checkout we unfortunately are not able to ship to you at this point in time. Due to the new GPSR requirements we are currently unable to ship to the EU and we have paused shipping to the US at this point in time.

Please note we are not liable for any additional charges or duties that your package attracts through your country's customs process. We are legally obliged to declare the total value of each purchase and provide a commercial invoice if required. Please do not ask to have the dollar value of your item reduced for customs, I insure all overseas parcels and need to declare them at their correct value for this.

All orders are packaged with love using recycled materials where possible in compostable mailers.
