Ohh this is an absolute dream coat, from Turkish label Yaqub. Hailed as one of the finest designers of Afghan coats, Yaqub was stocked in luxury boutiques such as Saks Fifth Avenue and graced the outfits of many 60s/70s celebrities and musicians. Crafted by hand from the finest furs/skins and delicately embroidered, a Yaqub coat is of the highest quality, and if properly cared for will last a lifetime.

This beauty is crafted in the most incredible taupe brown suede leather with sheepskin inner so it’s cosy and ever so warm, yet also reasonably light on the body. It features a fluffy coffee coloured sheepskin edging, a cosy hood and has absolutely exquisite embroidery detail throughout. Front hook and eye closures and a mid length complete the look.

It is truly the most magnificent of winter coats, I’ve not come across something as special as this before. Yaqub coats are listed on Etsy for $2k+, just incredible.

Condition: Good vintage condition, some visible wear consistent with age. The suede outer is in very good condition with only some minimal markings/duller patches, it’s really in amazing condition considering age. There is some wear/shedding/loss of wool of the sheepskin trims, especially around the sleeve cuffs. Some of the embroidery is fluffing also. Also the lining has had some of the wool loss as well. But honestly, for a 60+ year old coat, it is a true vintage masterpiece. Please view all photos.

 

Measurements: Shoulder to shoulder - 42cm flat across, Armpit to armpit - 43cm flat, Waist - 41cm flat across, Length - 76cm.

Tagged a vintage size M, I would estimate this would be suitable for a XS/S, around a modern 6/8 in AUS sizing depending on desired fit.

Dreamer Bohemia ships orders Monday/Wednesday/Friday and aims to dispatch packages within 48 hours of order placement. 

Domestic (Australian) shipping:

All domestic orders are shipped with Australia Post. The shipping options are $12.00 AUD for regular post and $17.50 AUD for express post. Bulky items (leather jackets/boots) are $17.50 AUD for regular shipping and $25 AUD for express.
Estimated timelines for deliveries are between 4-7 days for regular post, and 1-3 days for express post - all depending on location and Aust Post networks/delays.

 

International shipping:

All international orders are shipped via Australia Post which then transfers to the local shipping network in your delivery country. International delivery is $45 flat AUD via standard international shipping, or $75 AUD for bulky items. Please note we only ship to a limited number of international locations; if your country doesn't appear in the checkout we unfortunately are not able to ship to you at this point in time.

Please note we are not liable for any additional charges or duties that your package attracts through your country's customs process. We are legally obliged to declare the total value of each purchase and provide a commercial invoice if required.

You can track your order online and you will receive an email with tracking details once your order has been dispatched.
