Introducing what is quite possibly my grandest find to date, this outta this world 1970’s original custom painted, patchwork suede sun jacket by Burray Olson.
Cosmic artist Burray Olson, a graduate of the San Francisco Art Academy and Art Institute and Haight Ashbury flower child, designed and crafted leather goods for San Francisco music royalty such as Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Santana and the Doobie Brothers.
He then moved to LA in the '70s where he opened a store in Sunset Boulevard creating more custom pieces, as well as designing for the iconic North Beach leather.
This is a super rare, incredible work of art.
Cut in a boxy silhouette with a pointed collar, front pockets, zip through design and is unlined, and features that incredible hand painted sun face on the back. WOW. You will never ever ever see something so amazing - who knows who this incredible piece was made for? The stories it could tell. It is mind blowing.
100% leather. Lined in this super groovy iridescent purple fabric.
Made in the United States.
Condition: Good vintage condition with some visible wear due to age. There are marks about, some colour transfer under one arm, a split in the leather under the other arm (its not a seam issue, its just cut that way and doesn't weaken the structural integrity of the jacket), some fluffing of some of the suede sections and the metal zip is a little stiff but all in all it is worn in to perfection. It is the greatest piece of wearable vintage art you will even put on your body.
Measurements:
Shoulder to shoulder - 44cm flat across the top,
Armpit to armpit - 56cm flat across the back,
Waist - 49cm flat across the bottom hem across the back,
Length - 62cm.
No size tagged, I would estimate this would be suitable for a M, around a modern 10/12 in AUS sizing depending on desired fit/measurements. I am a 10 and can do it up comfortably.

Dreamer Bohemia ships orders Monday/Wednesday/Friday and aims to dispatch packages within 48 hours of order placement.
Domestic (Australian) shipping:
All domestic orders are shipped with Australia Post. The shipping options are $12.00 AUD for regular post and $17.50 AUD for express post. Bulky items (leather jackets/boots) are $17.50 AUD for regular shipping and $25 AUD for express.
Estimated timelines for deliveries are between 4-7 days for regular post, and 1-3 days for express post - all depending on location and Aust Post networks/delays.
International shipping:
All international orders are shipped via Australia Post which then transfers to the local shipping network in your delivery country. International delivery is $45 flat AUD via standard international shipping, or $75 AUD for bulky items. Please note we only ship to a limited number of international locations; if your country doesn't appear in the checkout we unfortunately are not able to ship to you at this point in time. Due to the new GPSR requirements we are currently unable to ship to the EU.
USA shipping - all relevant duties/taxes payable will be listed as a line item in the checkout and are to be paid at the time of order. Please read our full shipping policy for more details.
Please note we are not liable for any additional charges or duties that your package attracts through your country's customs process (aside from the USA). We are legally obliged to declare the total value of each purchase and provide a commercial invoice if required. Please do not ask to have the dollar value of your item reduced for customs, I insure all overseas parcels and need to declare them at their correct value for this.

We provide all garment measurements in the description, for best fit we recommend you measure against an item you already own that fits perfectly. Vintage sizing varies significantly from modern sizing, so it's always best to check against a similar garment.
