Are you ready to meet the unicorn to end all unicorns of vintage western coats? Meet this absolutely iconic Char of Santa Fe suede dream coat, the only one of its kind as no two Char designs are ever the same.

Char is Southwestern design personified; super rare and endlessly coveted and renowned for its outta this world one-of-a-kind wearable art pieces, and this bold red beauty is no exception. Crafted in a super soft warm orange red suede leather and adorned with the prettiest rainbow floral embroidery, signature whipstitch and western fringe/tassel detailing throughout. I’m guessing it’s an early 80s era due to the padded shoulders and boxy structured fit. Press stud fastenings and a black satin lining complete the look.

This is an extra special piece from my personal collection and why I’m selling it I have no idea.

Suede leather.

Condition: Good vintage condition with some minor visible wear consistent with age. There are some soft markings on the suede, most noticeably on one arm but just adds to its perfectly worn in patina. A previous owner has also stuck down the smaller collar lapel with some sort of double sided sticky tape, I presume so that they sit flat. The residue of the sticky tape would be visible if removed so I have left it as is (I didn't realize this until inspecting closely).

Please review all images carefully as it is an expensive piece and sold in ‘as is’ condition.

 

Measurements:

Shoulder to shoulder - 46cm flat across the top,

Armpit to armpit - 58cm flat across the back,

Waist - 57cm flat across when fastened,

Length - 77cm including tassels.

Tagged a vintage size M, I would estimate this would be suitable for a women's M, around a modern 10/12 depending on desired fit/measurements. As it is a typical 80's style it is roomy in the shoulders but then more fitted around the waist. I’m a 10 and it was slightly oversized fitting on me in the shoulders but that is the design.

Shipping

Dreamer Bohemia ships orders Monday/Wednesday/Friday and aims to dispatch packages within 48 hours of order placement. 

Domestic (Australian) shipping:

All domestic orders are shipped with Australia Post. The shipping options are $12.00 AUD for regular post and $17.50 AUD for express post. Bulky items (leather jackets/boots) are $17.50 AUD for regular shipping and $25 AUD for express.
Estimated timelines for deliveries are between 4-7 days for regular post, and 1-3 days for express post - all depending on location and Aust Post networks/delays.

 

International shipping:

All international orders are shipped via Australia Post which then transfers to the local shipping network in your delivery country. International delivery is $45 flat AUD via standard international shipping, or $75 AUD for bulky items. Please note we only ship to a limited number of international locations; if your country doesn't appear in the checkout we unfortunately are not able to ship to you at this point in time. Due to the new GPSR requirements we are currently unable to ship to the EU.

USA shipping - all relevant duties/taxes payable will be listed as a line item in the checkout and are to be paid at the time of order. Please read our full shipping policy for more details.

Please note we are not liable for any additional charges or duties that your package attracts through your country's customs process (aside from the USA). We are legally obliged to declare the total value of each purchase and provide a commercial invoice if required. Please do not ask to have the dollar value of your item reduced for customs, I insure all overseas parcels and need to declare them at their correct value for this.

Vintage sizing varies significantly from modern sizing, so it's always best to check against a similar garment.
